Butterfly Occupational Therapy Clinic
The clinic was founded in 2021 due to the demand for Occupational Therapy services. It offers services to people age 0-18.
Meaning of our Clinic name
A butterfly symbolises transformation, change and hope. It is also a symbol of something or someone reaching their full potential. This is the overall aim of the clinic, to assist a client to reach their full potential.
Our Vision
Our vision is to provide a high level of service and support to children and their families attending our Clinic.

Cathy Moir, BSc (Hons) OT, USC Chan SI CE,
Clinical Manager and Occupational Therapist
Cathy is an Occupational Therapist, dedicated to working with clients in achieving their client-centred and family-centred personalised goals. She is an approachable, enthusiastic therapist who acts as an advocate for all of her clients. She also prides herself in her ability to build an effective rapport with her clients and their families which aids the therapeutic process.
Cathy has previously worked with a wide variety of different diagnoses and conditions for example:

Cathy graduated from University College Cork (UCC) in 2015 and has since been fully trained in Sensory Integration through the University of South Carolina (USC). As a Sensory Integration Practitioner, Cathy focuses on a child's sensory processing difficulties and helps the child, and their support unit, develop strategies to assist with regulation. Furthermore, Cathy has completed DIR Floortime 101 which includes the basics of this approach.
Examples of other training courses completed include Sensory Integration for Individuals on the Autism Spectrum, Sensory-Based Feeding and Eating Challenges, Assistive Technology in Education, Assessing Play ToP to TOES, Handwriting Without Tears, Paediatric First Aid, Introduction to Children's First and Lámh Module One Course.
